TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Med/Surg RN in Lincoln, Nebraska, 68510 About The Position Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) Job Specialty: Medical-Surgical Nurse Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12-hour nights Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week Experience: Minimum 1 year License: Active RN license Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) Must-Have: - Experience working in a medical-surgical unit - Familiarity with EPIC charting system - Ability to work in an acute care setting Job Description: - Work in a 42-bed medical-surgical unit with patient ratios of 1:5-6. - Provide care for patients with medical, surgical, and orthopedic diagnoses. - Collaborate with the charge nurse during shifts; charge nurses also take assignments. - Administer Heparin drip; other titratable drips are not typical. - Respiratory Therapy available 24/7 for support and equipment setup. - Manage patients on telemetry with support from a centralized tele station. - Supervise and collaborate with nurse aides/patient care techs with a ratio of 1:10-12. - Follow shift times from 0630-1900 or 1830-0700. - Work weekends and holidays as needed; no on-call or standby required. - Possibility of floating to Progressive Care Unit or Burn Unit. - Wear navy blue scrubs as per dress code; scrubs are provided. - Complete department-specific orientation, including classroom sessions and two 12-hour shifts on the floor. Interested individuals must reside within a 50-mile radius but cannot be employed full-time, part-time, or PRN with any related facility.
