  • Med/Tele/Oncology RN - 6 East 221103120
    • Job Requirements
    • Must be a certified RN with ability to work in Med/Tele Oncology
    • Common diagnosis / Types of patients include Oncology and Trauma
    • RN's are required to titrate drips
    • Chemotherapy occasionally administered, RNs working with chemo need chemo certification, but it's not required for floor work
    • Floating Requirements: Float to same level of care
      • Schedule Information
      • Shifts 0630-1900, 1830-0700
      • Weekend Requirements: Every other weekend
      • Holiday Requirements: Negotiated
      • Self-scheduling and block scheduling may be discussed
      • Two 12-hour shifts of unit/department specific orientation
        • Unit Specific Information
        • # of Beds: 28
        • Nurse-Patient Ratios: Days: 1:4, Nights: 1:5
        • Charge Nurse presence on each shift and whether they take an assignment
        • Nurse aids/patient care techs presence and duties: Yes- 1:10 ratio
          • Additional Details
          • RN's should have some tele awareness
          • Tele techs will interpret, RNs are not solely responsible for tele monitoring
          • Scrub Color/Dress Code: Navy Blue
          • Successful nurse attributes: not afraid to ask questions, being kind, and teamwork
          • Radius Rule: 50 miles AND candidates may not be currently employed in any capacity with any facility associated with CommonSpirit, including CHI and/or Dignity
